Digital Bible Journaling for Beginners Video 4

In this fourth video in this series, we will be doing something fun, we are going to create a pocket and a tag that we will save as a PDF. This means that we will be able to use our digital creation in physical creations!

You can add them to your Bible, junk journal, glue book, or even give them away to friends and family!

Part 1

Today we will start out creating a Screen Size canvas. This is so that our images will be nice and big. We want this because if the images are too small, when we go to put them onto the 8.5×11 page and we have to enlarge them, they will be blurry. And we do not want that!

We will work on the File Folder pocket first, so go ahead and drag and drop all of the elements that you will need for that onto your canvas.

For this you will need the Black File Folder Pocket, both of the papers, the button, the Scripture word art, and the Kawaii Strawberry Drink.

REMEMBER to work non-destructively!!! Create more layers!

Choose your paper and then create the clipping mask to your file folder pocket.

I show you in the video, step-by-step how to create the inked edge look. After you create the inked edge, we will create a rectangle and fill with the color of your choice.

You can now add in some of the other elements.

Remember, your creation does not have to look exactly like mine. You can change up some things or use some of the other elements from the FREEBIES.

When you have everything situated, make sure your background is off and save as a PNG. You can save it to the same file where the FREEBIES are so that you know right where it is next week, or you can also save it to your images.

Part 2

Today we are going to create our tag and then create a printable PDF so that we can have a physical version of our creations.

Go back to your canvas from last week and drag and drop all of the items that you will need. I show you what all of them are in the video, but here is a list as well….

You will need the Black Tag, the two papers, the washi tape, the stamp, the lemon slice, and the black stamp image.

REMEMBER to work non-destructively!!! Create more layers!

As you add your elements remember to add some shadows to make everything look more realistic! I show you how I choose to create my tag in the video, but yours can look however you would like.

Remember to save it in the same place that you saved your pocket from last week.

Now that we have both of our items created, we will want to go back to the Gallery and create an 8.5×11 size canvas.

For an easy way to make sure of your sizes go to the Tool at the top of the page and click on Canvas. In there you will want to turn on the Guidelines and then you are going to want to edit those so that it is a 1in grid. I show you all of this in the video.

Now drag and drop your folder and tag onto the canvas. Duplicate your images so that you have as many as you would like on the page and then resize them so that they fit. Mine look like this….
