Digital Bible Journaling Series

Digital Journaling with Procreate

I am so excited to be starting a new series on my YouTube channel all about getting started with Digital Bible Journaling!

If this is something that you have been wanting to get started in, then this is a great time to jump right in. Don’t worry, besides your iPad and Procreate, everything is FREE!

I will have all of the FREEBIES organized for you down below.

*This page is ongoing until I finish this series, so make sure to check back for new videos, freebies, and information!

So first let’s talk about what Digital Bible Journaling is….

Digital Bible Journaling is a way to Bible Journal without needing a physical Bible or physical products. This is great for many reasons…

First it means that you do not need to purchase a lot of materials to get started. You will need access to some PNG files, but there are many ways to get those for FREE and you can even create them from FREE PDF files. Don’t worry, I am going to show you how to do this. (Please be aware of copyright issues)

Second, because there is not a large Bible to carry around (I mean have you seen the Illustrating Bible?) or a lot of supplies to pack up, you can bring your journaling with you wherever you go with minimal effort.

Third, this type of journaling is actually very versatile. You can create your page and then share it as an image, but you can also save it as a PDF and print it to use in many different ways. And since it is digital, you can reuse it multiple times! Maybe you create a page and add it to your Bible, then you resize it and print it out as a card for a friend, and as a pocket in a junk journal! The ideas are limitless!

But maybe you are not even sure what Bible Journaling is….

That is totally ok. I will share my thoughts on Bible Journaling with you.

Bible Journaling is a way to take what you are learning during your Bible study time and then using creative art to help that message sink in even more.

For me Bible Journaling is not art for art’s sake. It is a time to spend with God and let His words and message really permeate my heart. It is a way to destress and unwind and get to know Him even more.

And your art can look however you want it to. Maybe it really is just journaling, or maybe it takes on more of an artsy look to it. Either way is totally fine. I have Bibles that I only write in the margins in, and Bibles that I do not write in at all, and Bibles that I will cover the whole page! It is totally up to you.

If you are completely new to Bible Journaling I would encourage you to check out my series Bible Journaling for Complete Beginners. It will help you to better understand what Bible Journaling is and help you get started. Not sure you want to cover the words, that is ok as well. I give lots of ways that you can still Bible Journal without ever covering your pages.
